A glass lantern for the patio table and the dinner table

The Twilight Lantern Rechargeable Table Light sets a white glass shade inside a slim stainless steel frame, bringing a soft lantern glow to patios, porches and dining tables. A built-in rechargeable battery and integrated LED mean no cord at the table and no bulbs to buy: charge it over USB, then carry it wherever you want the light.

An IP65 rating lets the lamp body stay outside through rain, while the clean rectangular frame looks just as at home on a console or nightstand indoors. Choose from three heights, from a compact 11" to a 19.7" statement piece.

Made to stay outside

Covered loggias, open decks and garden tables all see their share of weather. The Twilight Lantern is sealed and built from rust-resistant materials, so it can stay out on the table between charges.

Charge it, then take it anywhere

The Twilight Lantern runs on a built-in rechargeable battery, so the table stays free of cords and outlets.

  1. Charge over USB

    Connect the included charger in a dry spot and let the battery fill before its first evening out.

  2. Carry it outside

    Once charged, there is no cord to run, so set it on any table, ledge or step.

  3. Press the button

    The push-button switch turns the light on and off, and the built-in LED never needs a bulb change.

How many for your table

Use the length of the table as your guide. These spacings give even light from end to end without crowding the place settings.

  • On a standard 30 in dining table, the 11" lantern stays below seated eye level, so guests can see each other across the table.
  • The 15" sits right at eye level, so place it toward the ends of the table or on a wider table.
  • Save the 19.7" for consoles, sideboards and spots beside the seating rather than the middle of the dinner table.
  • Leave a few inches between each lantern and the table edge so it stays clear of elbows and plates.

Questions before you buy

Can it stay outside in the rain?

Yes. The lamp body is IP65 rated; just charge it indoors or somewhere dry.

Does it need a cord?

Only for charging. It charges over USB and runs cordless on its built-in battery.

Is a charger included?

Yes. A charger comes in the box and works with standard US outlets.

Which size should I choose?

The 11" suits nightstands and side tables, the 15" suits dining and coffee tables, and the 19.7" suits consoles and larger outdoor tables.

Do I need to replace a bulb?

No. The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to change.

Can I use it while it charges?

Yes. It stays usable while connected to the charger, so it also works as a corded lamp indoors.

Can I use several together?

Yes. Each lantern runs on its own battery, so group any sizes without extra outlets.

Cleaning and care

A quick clean every month or two keeps the steel bright and the glass clear, especially for a lantern that lives outdoors.

  1. Switch off and disconnect the charger

    Let the lamp cool for a few minutes before you touch the glass.

  2. Dust first

    Lift dust, pollen and leaves from the frame and shade with a soft dry cloth or brush.

  3. Wipe the steel

    Use a cloth dampened with warm water and a drop of mild dish soap.

  4. Clean the glass

    Wipe the shade with a damp cloth, or spray a gentle glass cleaner onto the cloth rather than the lamp.

  5. Dry before charging

    Dry every surface with a clean cloth and make sure the charging port is completely dry before you connect the charger.

Avoid

  • Bleach, chlorine or ammonia cleaners
  • Steel wool, scouring pads or abrasive powders
  • Pressure washers aimed at the lamp
  • Spraying cleaner onto the switch or charging port

Poolside and coastal spots

Rinse the frame with fresh water and wipe it dry every few weeks so chlorine and salt do not spot the steel.

Bring the lantern indoors during long freezing spells or severe storms to keep it looking new.
